The integrated energy storage PCS and step-up unit stores green energy—such as solar or wind power—in a battery system and, when required, converts it via the energy storage power conversion system (PCS) for delivery to a three-phase AC step-up transformer. This solution effectively addresses the issues of instability and intermittency associated with wind and photovoltaic energy. The integrated unit comprises an energy storage PCS, a busbar assembly, a low-voltage compartment (housing communication and power distribution systems), an oil-immersed transformer, a high-voltage compartment (equipped with vacuum load switches or circuit breakers), and the unit’s enclosure.
